    Description

    Vintage 1920s Art Nouveau Hoffman Blue/White Delft Porcelain Windmills Set in Sterling Silver Pendant~Earrings Set in 835 European Sterling Silver.  The pretty pendant is stamped HOFFMAN and Sterling, the Art Nouveau design features heart-shaped leaves and side scrolls; the pendant measures 1 5/8" tall by 7/8" wide. The screw-back earrings are marked
    Delfts on the reverse of the ceramic, and stamped both 835 (European silver) and GBS on the side of the post arm; they measure 5/8" square set on the diagonal.
    The 17 1/2" Sterling Silver chain/necklace is marked Italy & 925 and SU, and the twisted Serpentine design of the chain echos the border on the earrings. All of the porcelain windmill pieces are bezel set in silver. All pieces have been hand cleaned and polished. Note: Hoffman Jewelry Company was based in the United States and also made a lot of butterfly wing jewelry in sterling. I think it is quite possible that the chain is not original to the pendant because of the Italy stamp.
