Collector's Rare Volupte Compact with the engagement ring. This is from the "Golden Guester" Series. This compact is shown in my very favorite book on collecting compacts. Titled "Vintage Compacts & Beauty Accessories" See my store I have a couple of copies of this book for sale. Features gold plated compact in the shape of a hand....The engagement ring is rare. The stones are rhinestones....all present....The mirror is excellent, has the puff. Excellent condition.... The engagement ring has bezel set rhinestones made to look like a diamond ring. No missing or dead stones. The gold finish is very shiny still. There is not problem with the finish and it is very mirror like so it makes it a little hard to photo. Any spots shown is a glare or reflection...except the spot on the wrist...see things to point out. Things to point out: 3 things...see below 1. a minor shallow ding in the top...see close up of me pointing it out in picture. This is hard to see unless looking for it. see the close up in pictures 2. a spot of discoloration in the gold at the wrist.....very minor. see picture See the close 3. Inside the compact minor pitting on the inside brass top of the well. Inside only see pic This would make a great gift for the collector...not many around and the condition is very good. A very desirable compact.
