  • Condition: I think that the set is NOS (New Old Stock). The cars don't appear to have ever been taken out of their original boxes. The cars and engine are In New Mint or Near Mint condition. The outer red box is in good condition with damage on some of the corners. Overall, the set/lot is in Very Good Pre-owned condition.

    An Auction!  For sale to the highest bidder is:
    Vintage 1960s Tyco Red Box Electric Train Set number T6713 Featuring 7 HO Scale Rail cars and 1 HO Scale Engine, all still inside of their original boxes within the set. I think that the set is NOS (New Old Stock).  The cars don't appear to have ever been taken out of their boxes. The cars and engine are In Excellent Near Mint/Mint condition.  The outer red box is in good condition.

    DESCRIPTION:
    I purchased what appeared to be a complete 60 year old red box TYCO HO Scale Electric Model Train Set at an antique store that was going out of business.  When I got the set open, I discovered that the box was filled with 8 other boxes.  These ones were pristine and each one of them held a Tyco train car or an engine. I was under the impression that a train set would have tracks and maybe some buildings or shrubbery, a power pack, etc.  All this one had in It was mint condition vintage cars and engines.  So I am not really sure if it contains the things that normally came with Set T6713.
    BUT THE BOX I HAVE INCLUDES:
    1. "Mikado"  Santa Fe "Lighted" T208C:2998 Black locomotive Engine 4073 with working headlight and Tender.  I don't know if the light works. Train is new old stock, Still in it's original red cardboard box which is in good condition. The clear cellophane window in the front of the box has been torn.
    2. SKID FLAT CAR with Culvert Pipe Load, Great Northern T331B:258 Car and Box are in New, Mint condition.
    3. 8 WHEEL CABOOSE Santa Fe "Unlighted" T327J:349. Car and Box are in New, Near Mint condition.
    4. FLAT CAR, 50 FOOT WITH PULPWOOD LOAD Southern Railway T334A:298 Car is in Excellent, gently pre-owned condition. The Box is in Very Good pre-owned condition.
    5. BOX CAR Burlington T311T:249. Car and Box are in New, Mint condition.
    6. REFRIGERATOR CAR Armour T329C:249. Car and Box are in New, Mint condition.
    7. TANK CAR Cities Service T315G:279. Car and Box are in New, Near Mint condition with a hole in the cellophane on the box.
    8. YELLOW GRAIN HOPPER Union Pacific.  No number on box. Car is in Excellent, gently pre-owned condition. The Box is in Very Good pre-owned condition.
