Vintage Shari Langlois New York Double Compact Original Silk Presentation Box

Description

Up for sale is an original vintage combination powder and rouge compact in it's original presentation box. The compact is very gold colored on top and the bottom is silver colored. When opened, one side holds rouge and the other holds powder. They are divided by a piece of metal which used to be used in place of a mirror. Both of the original puffs are present. It has been used and the powder and rouge are both almost used up. The side of the compact is etched in script Shari Langlois New York. The latch is a small piece of metal that fits over a tab. It fits securely. It is round, about 2 1/4 inch in diameter. The top has an Oriental scene that matches the presentation box. The box has 8 sides, however it is made for a round compact. The bottom and inside of the box is gold glitter cardboard or thick paper. The outside of the box is cloth, probably silk, with an Oriental scene of trees, flowers and butterflies. The box is 3 inches in diameter. The box has some fading and a few faint stains. The compact has been used. However, overall this item is super and in great condition.
