Vintage 950 Silver Compact, Queen Star, Japanese Signed, Original Box

Description

Beautiful Vintage 950 Silver ladies powder compact.  Inherited from my relatives. MATERIAL: 950 silver, round beveled mirror, original velvet lined box.  MAKER/MARKS : marked on exterior Silver 950 (better than sterling, which is only 925 silver).   DIMENSIONS : compact approx 2 3/4" across x 3/8" thick, nestled in larger jewelry case.
Please note that due to lighting effects, monitor's brightness, contrast and other settings, there might be some slight differences in the color tone/shade of the web site's photo and the actual item.
Since this item is vintage, it is not unusual to have some flaws or imperfections. The compact exterior is tarnished.  I do my best to describe and attach pictures of any flaws I find, but if you have any questions or want additional pictures, please contact me.
(I NEVER polish silver, leaving decision and product choice to new owner, as many people prefer patina undisturbed).
Very good condition for its age.  REMARKS : Incredible addition to your compact, Asian vintage items, or silver items collections.

The top of the compact has an engraved Galleon type sailing ship. The back has a free form scroll design and an Asian signature in the lower left.
