TREE of LIFE CREWEL WORK WOOL EMBROIDERY ON LINEN FANTASTIC FOLK ART DESIGN

Description

This is a stunning piece of old crewel work in the well known tree of life pattern. It is wool work on linen and in away has a folk art style to the design. I love the muted colors against the natural linen. It could have been made here or in England, I do not know the origin it is what it is ....just fantastic. It is in fine condition and measures 22" square, the edges are hand sewn under. Very pretty and charming piece of  needlework with beautiful colors. I do not know the age but a guess is at least 50 years old or older. This textile is in clean condition. It has not been washed, and may have a slight scent commensurate with age. I like it as is and if you wish, you can have it dry cleaned for a small amount of money or leave as is, just a beautiful piece for a pillow or as a chair cover for an antique chair you might have. Can be hung on the wall as well.* I do not clean most antique or old textiles, that is up to your own personal discretion.
