Life-Like Railroad Empire Set, #01537. This is a verified complete set, minus outer box. The building kit, shrubbery, trees, signage, and even the bag with track nails and glue are still factory sealed in bags. The rolling stock is in excellent shape, with original boxes (one box has been tape repaired, see photos). The locomotive shows no usage wear, has been 9v battery tested, lights and runs, though will likely need servicing to bring it up to full strength. The track pieces are in great shape other than some light dust and tarnish. The transformer hums like it should when plugged in. The platform pieces have been carefully measured and neatly sectioned from 2 into 4 equal pieces. There is a single small chunk missing from one edge, visible in photos, and some random minor nicks here and there, but overall the pieces are in excellent shape. The pieces line up perfectly, and we've provided as many photos as we could to illustrate how the modified pieces fit together. Former owner states the track was laid out on the platforms once, used for a few days, buildings and foliage was never added, then everything was broken down, returned to boxes, and stored away. Overall a very complete, exceptionally lightly used example of this very hard to find set. Feel free to ask questions and request additional photos!
