    Description

GILBERT AMERICAN FLYER HO ELECTRIC TRAIN SET 30743 VINTAGE 1962 DIE CAST 31004
This is my first train set.  I got it in 1962 when I was 9, from santa.  I played with it a little bit, but mostly my dad played with it.  We did not use it much as I wanted bigger engines.  Dad put it away in the late 60's.  I found it in his attic this summer.  I have no trains anymore and since it did not have a power source or tracks I could not test it.  I remember drawing on the box, he got so mad.  The box is not included with this auction, just the cars.  Want the box? I will send it to you for .00.
    About the cars:
The engine is number 31004.  It ran great and made choo-choo noise and smoke and the head light came on.  It is in really nice condition.  Not tested, though it ran when put away.
The B&O Hopper car is missing the couplers, otherwise in great shape.
The Mobil Gas Tank car is in great condition.
The NYC Cement car is missing the top but otherwise in great condition.
The Penn. Bay Window Caboose is in great condition.
The New Haven Trap Rock Gondola got squished, but the wheels and couplers are fine, the couplers could go on the B&O Hopper car.
The Bordens Milk National Flat car is in great condition.
The New Haven Box car is in great condition.  Both doors work fine.
I will pack everything really good.

    CORRECTION:
The engine's head light is just painted on, not a real light.
Sorry for the misinformation, it's been so long ago that I forgot that the light was not real.
