    comes from the 1934 edition of the Hutchinson's Dog Encyclopaedia
    and is 80  years old.
    1930'S
    The Finnish Spitz is close
    norrbotten tip
    ,
    Norwegian Lundehund
    and the
    Norwegian buhund
    .
    It is believed that their origin is in dogs that were brought to northern
    Fennoscandia
    with
    Finno-Ugric peoples
    from the east.
    The task of inventorying the breed began in the early 1890s.
    They chose consistently out the red copy and despised those who deviated.
    1891 was a big patterning in
    Oulu
    .
    1892
    written
    breed standard
    and
    studbook
    began under the name
    Finnish barking dog
    .
    The Finnish Kennel Club
    recognized the breed
    in 1897
    under the name
    Finnish Spitz
    .
    In the
    1930s
    began to breed sole lace in southern
    Sweden
    , while they were unregistered dogs in northern Sweden, which was used only for hunting.
    1979
    was named the breed was officially
    Finnish
    National Dog.
